  • ADM Europoort first plant to be certified in compliance with EFISC version 3.0  31/01/2014

The European Feed Ingredients Safety Certification (EFISC) is proud to announce that ADM Europoort is the first production location certified for the manufacturing of feed materials in compliance with the new version of the EFISC scheme. The EFISC standard version 3.0 is the result of the evaluation process with the European Accreditation Body in compliance ISO/ IEC 17021 supplemented with ISO/TS 22003 (management system certification supplemented with food safety management system requirements). The certification resulted from an audit conducted by the certification body SGS.

“With this accomplishment we show that we are up to the highest standards regarding feed safety” said Ingrid Passier, quality manager, ADM Europoort. “The EFISC version 3.0 reflects our total commitment to product safety in order to provide our customers with the most important guarantee they need- safe feed materials- in the Netherlands and abroad.

The European Feed Ingredients Safety Code promotes good practices in the industrial manufacturing of safe feed materials. The feed safety certification system is a shared commitment between the starch industry (AAF), the oilseed crushing, oil refining and protein meal industry (FEDIOL) and the European Biodiesel Board (EBB) and provides a harmonised, voluntary feed safety assurance scheme for the feed materials industry in the EU. The code is open to other feed material producing sectors to join.
